Role Overview: You will play a critical leadership role as the Vice President of Derivatives Support, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the trading desk. Your responsibilities will include managing teams, troubleshooting issues, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will collaborate closely with traders, desks, risk managers, compliance, operations, and technology teams to align all activities with standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Leadership & Team Management: - Lead, groom, and develop the Trading Support teams. - Foster a culture of collaboration and efficiency within the team. - Monitor team performance, handle resource planning, recruitment, and staff training. - Trading Desk Support: - Act as the primary point of contact for the trading desk to resolve operational issues quickly. - Troubleshoot and manage trading-related issues such as trade breaks, booking errors, or system discrepancies. - Ensure timely and accurate execution of post-trade activities. - Process Improvement & Optimization: - Continuously review and enhance operational workflows to improve efficiency and minimize risk. - Implement automation solutions and tools to streamline trade processing and support functions. - Collaborate with technology teams to identify system enhancements. - Risk Management & Compliance: - Monitor and manage operational risks related to trading activities. - Ensure compliance with prescribed risk requirements and best practices. - Liaise with risk and compliance stakeholders to ensure adherence and timely escalation. - Stakeholder Engagement: - Build strong relationships with Trading desks, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams. - Act as a liaison between the trading desk and other departments to resolve issues. - Regularly report on key metrics and performance to senior management. - Technology and Systems Management: - Oversee the use and maintenance of trading platforms and relevant tools. - Coordinate with IT teams to ensure system stability and manage upgrades. Qualification Required: - Educational Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field. - Advanced degree (MBA or Masters) preferred. - Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or similar. - Experience: - 10+ years of experience in trading support or related area within an investment bank. - Knowledge of Equities and Derivatives trading. - Proven VP-level leadership experience. - Technical Skills: - Expertise in trading systems like Bloomberg, EMS/OMS platforms. - Strong proficiency in Excel, Advanced Excel/VBA/SQL. Experience with Python is advantageous. - Familiarity with programming languages and trade lifecycle management tools. - Soft Skills: - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Motivational skills to achieve the best team performance.,
