Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a VP Analytics to lead the AI/ML & Analytics function, driving the companys data strategy and building production-grade machine learning models that power decision intelligence across BFSI and fintech ecosystems. The role requires collaboration with CXOs and regulatory stakeholders to ensure ethical, explainable, and scalable AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
Lead the AI/ML & Analytics Center of Excellence
Define and execute the analytics roadmap aligned with business strategy
Translate business challenges into scalable analytical solutions
Technical Excellence:
Build and deploy ML/DL models for fraud detection, credit underwriting, risk profiling, and compliance intelligence
Leverage alternative data sources such as DPI, telco, geospatial, social, and transactional data
Establish model governance and explainable AI (XAI) frameworks
Ensure robust, interpretable, and scalable model deployment with measurable business impact
Team & Capability Building:
Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing data science and analytics team
Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning
Evaluate emerging tools, technologies, and frameworks to maintain cutting-edge capabilities
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement:
Collaborate with CXOs, regulators, and BFSI leaders to align models with business and compliance objectives
Stay updated on RBI, UIDAI, NPCI, and global AI/ML regulatory frameworks

Required Qualifications & Experience:

10+ years in Data Science / AI / Analytics leadership, preferably in BFSI, Fintech, or Risk Management
Proven track record of production-scale AI/ML systems
Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, data engineering, MLOps, and explainable AI (XAI)
Exposure to alternative data analytics and financial intelligence use cases
Advanced degree (Masters / PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field preferred
