Vendor manager (Localization Industry)

As a Vendor Manager, your role involves managing and optimizing relationships with external vendors that provide localization services such as translation, cultural adaptation, and content tailoring for different markets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee vendor performance, and ensure timely and high-quality deliverables within budget constraints. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with localization vendors, including translation agencies, freelance translators, and service providers. - Negotiate contracts and establish service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure vendors meet quality and timeline requirements. - Monitor vendor performance, conduct regular reviews, and assess quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. - Resolve vendor-related issues, including delays, disputes, and quality concerns. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their localization needs. - Coordinate the localization process across multiple languages, ensuring smooth handoffs and timely delivery of localized content. - Ensure the quality of localized content aligns with company standards and is culturally appropriate for target markets. - Identify process improvement opportunities in localization workflows and propose efficient solutions. - Stay updated on industry trends and tools to drive innovation in localization processes. - Track and manage the localization budget to control costs while maintaining high-quality outputs. - Knowledge of localization tools such as translation management systems and CAT tools.
