Department: Finance & Insurance (F&I) / Sales Industry: Automobile Dealership Passenger Vehicles Reporting To: Insurance Manager / F&I Head / Sales Manager Experience Required: 1+ Years in motor insurance or auto sales Education: Graduate in any discipline (Insurance certification preferred) Job Purpose: To facilitate the sale of motor insurance policies for 4-wheeler vehicles sold through the dealership, ensuring timely issuance, renewals, and superior customer service. The role bridges customers, insurance partners, and the dealership sales team. Key Responsibilities: 1. Insurance Sales & Coordination Sell car insurance (comprehensive and third-party) to new car buyers at the point of vehicle sale. Coordinate with multiple insurance providers to generate competitive quotes and share options with customers. Upsell add-on covers like Zero Depreciation, Engine Protect, Return to Invoice, etc. 2. Customer Counselling & Conversion Explain policy benefits, IDV options, premium breakup, claim process, and add-on features to customers. Address customer queries and guide them in choosing the best-suited insurance product. 3. Policy Issuance & Documentation Ensure timely issuance of motor insurance policies on the date of vehicle delivery. Collect KYC documents and coordinate with the insurer to upload accurate details. Share soft copies and hard copies of policies with customers. 4. Renewals & Endorsements Maintain a database of policy expiries and proactively reach out to customers for renewals. Process endorsements (name, address, vehicle number changes) as required. 5. Coordination with Insurance Partners Liaise with insurance company executives for quote approvals, endorsements, commission payouts, and claims assistance. Reconcile commissions and track policy issuance volumes. 6. Dealer Team Engagement Coordinate with the dealership's sales team to ensure every vehicle sale is supported with insurance. Train sales staff to promote in-house insurance over external agents. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong sales and interpersonal skills Good knowledge of general/motor insurance products Target-oriented with ability to upsell value-added services Familiarity with insurer portals (like HDFC Ergo, ICICI Lombard, Bajaj Allianz, etc.) Basic computer skills MS Excel, Email, CRM entries Preferred Tools / Systems: Dealer DMS software Insurance company online portals MS Excel, WhatsApp, Email
