Vehicle Body Design Engineer (3-Wheeler/Passenger Vehicles)

We’re looking for a Vehicle Body Design Engineer who’s passionate about turning ideas into real, functional vehicle bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop vehicle body structures, particularly for electric 3-wheelers and compact 4-wheelers.
• Work with cross-functional teams (chassis, powertrain, electrical, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of the body system.
• Create 2D and 3D CAD models (using CATIA, SolidWorks,).
• Optimize body design for manufacturability, strength, weight, and cost.
• Coordinate with prototyping and manufacturing teams to validate designs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, homologation, and regulatory norms (e.g., AIS standards).
• Participate in DFMEA, design reviews, and iteration cycles.
• Contribute to styling, paneling, and ergonomic studies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or Industrial Design.
• 2–5 years of experience in vehicle body or sheet metal design (preferably 3-wheeler, L5N, or small electric vehicles).
• Strong skills in CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks).
• Understanding of materials (metal, plastic, FRP) and joining techniques.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes (welding, bending, stamping, etc.).
• Knowledge of automotive safety and structural requirements.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working on electric vehicles or start-up projects.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping or workshop-level fabrication.
• Interest in sustainability, lightweight design, or modular vehicle platforms.
