VBA Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop process automation tools and processes using VBA Excel Macros, Python, SQL, and other tools as needed.
• Enhance and maintain existing VBA Excel Macros, Python programs and other tools as needed.
• Work with stakeholders to uncover all requirements and develop iteratively towards a user accepted product.
• Develop tools that are easy to maintain and enhance over time.
• Address and find solutions to bugs and issues in VBA Macros, Python programs, SQL queries, etc. in a timely manner.
• Write documentation for new and existing process automation tools and processes.
• Assists in uncovering issues, evaluates various courses of action, and promotes the best option for resolution.
• Becomes aware on how to locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Acquires data from primary and secondary data sources and assists in analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Effectively use data visualization, in summaries and or dashboards to enhance translation of data and findings.

Preferred candidate profile

Proficiency in VBA (including UserForms), Python, and SQL.

• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git)
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code with clear documentation.
• Agile development mindset with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, curious, and collaborative with a continuous learning attitude.
