‍This role involves collaborating with project managers, business analysts, and other developers to create efficient, scalable, and robust solutions. Key responsibilities include writing clean, scalable code, debugging applications, and collaborating with project teams to create efficient solutions. Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. This role involves understanding and analyzing VB6 integration services, re-engineering them, and implementing the solutions in .NET 10. This position requires working closely with the modernization team to accelerate delivery, especially as existing .NET resources have limited exposure to VB6.‍

Here’s What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of .NET development experience
• A deep understanding of the .NET platform
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC. C#, JavaScript, Microservices, Web API, WPF
• Exposure to an ORM such as Entity Framework, NHibernate or an equivalent implementation
• Database development in SQL Server
• Strong hands-on expertise in VB6 and .NET (4.x and 10)
• Analyse, understand, and document 5–6 VB6 integration services from the legacy codebase
• Design and implement equivalent solutions in .NET 10
• Work on a parallel modernization track with the LegacyLeap team during initial sprints
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration and integration
• Review and understand existing .NET 4 code to support migration activities
• Troubleshoot issues, optimise performance, and ensure code quality
• Proven experience in legacy application modernization projects
• Solid understanding of integration services, solution design, and implementation
• Ability to analyze existing code, provide migration strategies, and execute with minimal supervision
