A UX Designer is responsible for crafting intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences that meet user needs and align with business goals. This role blends user research, design thinking, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality solutions across platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
- User-Centred Research & Strategy
- Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to uncover pain points and opportunities
- Develop personas, journey maps, and scenarios to guide design decisions
- Translate research insights into actionable design strategies
- Design Execution & Prototyping
- Create wireframes, user flows, storyboards, and high-fidelity prototypes using tools like Figma, Axure, Sketch, and InVision
- Design intuitive interfaces that balance aesthetics, usability, and accessibility
- Iterate designs based on feedback from stakeholders and users
- Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and accessibility experts to align on goals and deliverablesPresent design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams and leadership
- Participate in design critiques and contribute to shared design systems
- Usability & Accessibility
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.2 AA)
- Conduct usability evaluations and A/B testing to validate design effectiveness
- Advocate for inclusive design practices that consider health equity, literacy, and diverse user needs. [FW: Perfor...e comments]
- Design System Contribution
- Collaborate with design system teams to create reusable components and maintain consistency
- Document design patterns and contribute to evolving design libraries
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices
- Experiment with new design approaches and technologies (e.g., AI-enhanced UX, low-code prototyping)
- Foster a growth mindset and mentor junior designers

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in UX design with a strong portfolio (Sr UX Designer)
- Proven expertise in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Axure)
- Proven solid grasp of design thinking, information architecture, and responsive design
- Proven excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
