Job
Description
As a User Experience Researcher (UXR) at Google, you will be an essential part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on the fundamental principle of "Focus on the user and all else will follow." You will collaborate with UX Designers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers to gain insights into the needs, attitudes, emotions, and behaviors of product users. This information will be utilized to inspire and inform the design process, ensuring that our products deliver value and meet user expectations. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct independent research using various methodologies such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis. By collecting and analyzing user behavior data, including lab studies, field visits, and online experiments, you will contribute to shaping the user experience of Google products. Working closely with stakeholders at all levels, including product managers and engineers, you will play a critical role in identifying and prioritizing research opportunities in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to incorporate technical and business requirements into your research findings will be crucial in creating useful, usable, and delightful products for our users. To effectively communicate your research insights, you will need to advocate for your findings through written reports and in-person presentations. Your impact will be felt at all stages of product development, contributing to the creation of industry-leading products that resonate with our users. Joining the UXR community at Google will provide you with unique opportunities to collaborate, learn, and grow. Regular meetups, mentor programs, and access to internal research tools will support you in doing your best work. At YouTube, where we believe in the power of storytelling and community building, you will have the chance to work at the forefront of technology and creativity, making a difference by giving everyone a voice. If you have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 4 years of experience in an applied research setting, and experience in product research using various methods, consider joining us as a User Experience Researcher at Google.,
