Their 1st product, KIMIA Recover, a continuous monitoring device for the knee joint, has obtained CE marking and HSA approval, and booked revenues from large implant companies and hospitals. It has recently won the Innomatch grant by the Temasek Foundation (one of the 6 among 256 companies across 32 countries), and is currently deployed in some of the largest public hospitals in Singapore. KIMIA Recover is a comprehensive recovery management solution providing reduction in number of hospital visits and complications. The product was also the National Winner and International Top 20 of the prestigious James Dyson Award 2020, and has gained traction with major public hospitals and orthopedic clinics. Their digital therapy platform, consisting of KIMIA Assess and KIMIA Move products, uses artificial intelligence technology for digital MSK assessment and therapy. This platform is capable of providing pre-consultation assessments and real-time exercise guidance and feedback to musculoskeletal patients, and is being adopted by some of the largest private healthcare providers in the region, along with large corporate players. This role will be pivotal in driving development, launch, and successfully commercializing an innovative portfolio of IOT / AI based digital healthcare products for global markets. The role provides direct experience and exposure to customers in the US, Canada, and other global markets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: User Research & Insights: Conduct user interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries with patients, clinicians, and administrators to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Analyze and synthesize research findings into personas, journey maps, and empathy maps to guide design decisions. UX Design & Strategy: Translate business requirements and user insights into thoughtful user flows, wireframes, and interaction models. Design intuitive workflows that simplify complex healthcare tasks such as appointment scheduling, medication tracking, patient monitoring, and electronic health record access. UI Design & Visual Communication: Create polished, high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes using Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools. Develop consistent, clean, and modern UI components that align with branding and usability standards. Ensure design systems are scalable and reusable across web and mobile platforms. Accessibility & Compliance: Design with accessibility in mind, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines. Collaborate with legal and product teams to ensure designs meet healthcare industry regulations like HIPAA. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, QA, and data analysts. Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives to ensure design alignment throughout the development lifecycle. Prototyping & Testing: Build interactive prototypes to simulate user experiences and test flows before development. Conduct usability testing sessions and A/B testing to validate design assumptions and continuously iterate on designs. Design Handoff & Support: Deliver annotated design specifications and collaborate with developers during implementation to ensure high-quality outcomes. Perform design QA to validate layouts, responsiveness, and interactive behavior post-development. Continuous Improvement: Monitor user engagement and feedback to identify areas for improvement in the user experience. Stay current with industry trends, healthcare technology advancements, and design best practices. QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements: Proven experience as a UI/UX designer, with digital health industry experience. Experience with digital health software, US / Canada based EHR/EMR systems, a must. Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar. Knowledge of front-end development principles (HTML/CSS, responsive design). Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms. Ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with design systems and component-based UI frameworks. Background in conducting or analyzing usability studies and heuristic evaluations.
