Primary Job Title (standardized):

• Assist sonographers and radiologists during ultrasound examinations (abdominal, obstetric/pelvic, and Doppler), ensuring correct transducer selection and scan setup.
• Prepare patients for USG procedures: record brief clinical history, explain the exam, ensure privacy and comfort, position patients and apply coupling gel.
• Operate and adjust ultrasound console under supervision to capture diagnostic-quality images and perform basic measurements and labeling for review.
• Upload, tag and archive images and reports to PACS/DICOM; maintain accurate patient identifiers and study logs for seamless radiology workflow.
• Perform routine cleaning, disinfection and preventative maintenance of probes and ultrasound equipment following infection-control protocols.
• Manage appointment turnover and consumables inventory; provide basic vital-sign support and assist in emergency scan situations when required.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Ultrasound equipment operation
• Abdominal sonography assistance
• Obstetric sonography assistance
• Doppler ultrasound support
• PACS/DICOM image management
• Transducer disinfection and infection-control
  

Preferred

• Certificate in sonography or medical imaging
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with portable / point-of-care ultrasound devices
