As a Loan Processor, you’ll be a crucial part of our mission — helping ensure every loan is handled with care, accuracy, and integrity.

What You’ll Do

• Process residential and/or small business loan applications from intake to approval
• Review borrower documents for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate with applicants to gather missing information
• Coordinate with underwriters, compliance, and support teams
• Maintain accurate and timely loan files in our digital systems
• Ensure all loans comply with federal, state, and internal guidelines

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with digital tools
• Excellent communicator — patient, clear, and empathetic
• Understand the importance of financial access and equity
• Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple files simultaneously

Requirements

• 2+ years experience as a Loan Processor (mortgage, consumer, or business loans)
• Experience using loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass, Blend, or others)
• Familiar with standard lending documents (W-2s, tax returns, credit reports, etc.)
• Knowledge of lending regulations (e.g., RESPA, TILA, ECOA)
• Comfortable working remotely with cloud-based tools (Slack, GSuite, etc.)

Bonus Points

• Bilingual (especially Spanish, Haitian Creole, or other underrepresented languages)
• Experience working with CDFIs or mission-driven lenders
• Familiarity with low-income or underserved borrower profiles
