Job Description

US IT Recruiter

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the full life cycle of recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, negotiating, and onboarding.
  • Source IT candidates using various platforms including Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, and internal ATS.
  • Must have experience working with TCS, Infosys, HCL
  • Evaluate candidate profiles for roles such as Developers, Architects, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, DevOps, Cloud, and other technical positions.
  • Screen candidates for technical and visa fit (H1B, GC, USC, TN, EAD, etc.) and ensure compliance with US hiring laws.
  • Coordinate interviews with clients, gather feedback, and maintain consistent follow-up.
  • Build relationships with candidates and maintain a pipeline for future opportunities.
  • Negotiate compensation and close candidates in line with client expectations.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Delivery Leads to understand client requirements and priorities.
  • Maintain accurate and updated candidate information in the ATS.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment goals (submissions, interviews, closures).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2–6+ years of experience in US IT staffing or recruiting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the US job market, hiring practices, and IT technologies.
  • Familiarity with different employment types: W2, 1099, C2C.
  • Experience working with OPT, CPT, H1B, EAD, Green Card, and US Citizens.
  • Strong sourcing and screening skills using portals like Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder, and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently during US business hours.
  • Experience using ATS tools like Bullhorn, JobDiva, CEIPAL, etc. is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with Tier 1 vendors or direct clients.
  • Experience recruiting for niche technologies or senior-level roles.
  • Understanding of North American regional nuances (Eastern, Central, Pacific time zones).
  • Familiarity with VMS systems.
