US Accountant

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing tax filings, and supporting audits, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Manage accounts payable and receivable functions. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations; prepare and file sales tax, income tax, and other required returns. Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred. 6+ years of accounting experience in a US-based company or equivalent. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools. Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
