US Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Handle full-cycle

  US payroll processing

  including salary computation, deductions, tax withholdings, and benefits.
• Maintain and reconcile

  General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

  .
• Prepare and review

  monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  GAAP

  and

  US federal & state payroll regulations

  .
• Manage payroll tax filings (federal, state, and local).
  
• Process journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closings.
  
• Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for payroll accuracy and employee queries.
  
• Support audits and prepare supporting documentation.
  
• Utilize accounting software such as

  QuickBooks, ADP, Gusto, or Paychex

  .

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in

  Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  .
• Minimum

  3+ years of experience

  in US Accounting and Payroll.
• Strong knowledge of

  US GAAP

  and

  Payroll Compliance

  .
• Experience with payroll tools such as

  ADP, Paychex, Gusto, or similar

  .
• Proficiency in

  Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.)

  .
• Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in US time zones.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with

  US clients or CPA firms

  .
• Familiarity with

  tax filings (W-2, W-4, 1099, etc.)

  .
• Certification such as

  CPA / CMA / EA

  (preferred but not mandatory).
