Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Vendor Management:

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, service, and delivery capabilities.
Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations.

Procurement Process:

Generate purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

Cost Control & Budgeting:

Analyze and compare proposals and recommend cost-effective options.
Monitor market trends and changes in supply and demand to control costs.
Maintain procurement budgets and report variances.

Technical Coordination:

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand technical requirements.
Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and material requirements.
Ensure purchased items meet required technical standards.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier information, and contracts.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
Manage import/export documentation if applicable.

Inventory & Logistics:

Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure proper stock levels.
Track shipments and resolve delivery issues or delays.

Preferred candidate profile:

2 to 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Knowledge of procurement software (e.g., SAP, ERP systems)
Understanding of technical specifications and engineering drawings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Time management and organizational abilities
