Role & responsibilities:

Documentation Management:

• Prepare, process, and maintain all necessary export and import documents, such as Bills of Lading (BL) and customs declarations.
• Ensure that documentation is accurate and compliant with international trade requirements.

Logistics Coordination:

• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and clearance of goods.
• Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination to ensure timely delivery.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure that all import and export activities comply with international trade laws and customs regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in customs procedures and government policies.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Liaise with internal departments (like sales, purchase) and external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, government agencies) to resolve issues and facilitate smooth operations.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with service providers and partners.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare reports on import/export activities and performance.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and shipments.

Issue Resolution:

• Address and resolve any problems related to customs clearance, shipment delays, or logistics.

Preferred candidate profile:

Education:

• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field is typically required.

Experience:

• At least 2-3 years of experience in import/export operations or logistics.

Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and supply chain management.
• Familiarity with concepts like Verified Gross Mass (VGM) and different terms of trade (e.g., FOB, EXW).

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of SAP will be advantage.
• Strong English communication skills are required for effective collaboration and performance.
