Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Purchase of Raw Materials, MRO items, Stores, Spares, Fabricated parts and services as per request from Plant

Procurement
Continuous sourcing of fuel, packing materials for plant at right quality, cost and delivery.
Arrange to procure MRO items, stores, spares and services as per approved annual procurement plan after proper justification.
Eliminate unwanted procurement.
Arrange to procure MinMax items as per request of Stores.

Supplier Development
Development of existing vendors to increase their performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, value (QCDV).

Imports
Sourcing material from right user dept. of right quality, at right time and at competitive prices.

Inventory Control
To control, monitor and review the inventory norms for MRO items.
Arrange to dispose off scrap and obsolete items as per request of user departments at competitive rates.

Knowledge Management
To arrange implementation of EMS & QMS practices as per requirement.

Preferred candidate profile

Good knowledge of principles of materials management, import procedures, statutory requirements, market information and market scenario.
Skills
Communication skills, negotiation skills, analytical skill, interpersonal skill, supervisory skill.
Experience (Number of years)
10 to 12 years experience in materials department of a medium sized continuous manufacturing industry.
