Urban designer

Reports To: Associate Director / Urban Design Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Urban Designer with over 15 years of professional experience in urban design, master planning, and large-scale urban development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong design vision, leadership skills, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams through all stages of design from concept to implementation.

• Lead and manage urban design and master planning projects of varying scales, from concept to detailed design stages.

• Prepare and present high-quality design concepts, reports, and visual materials to clients, stakeholders, and authorities.

• Coordinate with architects, planners, engineers, landscape architects, and environmental consultants.

• Ensure design quality, sustainability principles, and contextual sensitivity are integrated into all project deliverables.

• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on design methodologies and documentation.

• Participate in business development activities, proposal writing, and client presentations.

• Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and urban design assessments.

• Stay updated with local planning regulations, design standards, and emerging global urban trends.

• Bachelor s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or Planning (Master s in Urban Design preferred).

• 10+ years of relevant experience in urban design or master planning with a reputed consultancy or design firm.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality urban design and large-scale project experience.

• Proficiency in design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, and GIS (preferred).

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Deep understanding of sustainable design principles, mobility planning, and urban regeneration strategies.

• Proven leadership and project management capabilities.

• Experience working on international or mixed-use master plans.

• Familiarity with Smart City or Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) projects.

• Membership in professional bodies (ISOCARP, ULI, IUDI, etc.)
