Role Overview: Flex is looking for a Developer- IT to join their extraordinary team located in Chennai. As a Developer- IT at Flex, your typical day will involve developing business solutions, ensuring products meet customer requirements and function properly, conducting solution testing and QA, collaborating with business stakeholders to select appropriate technology vendors, troubleshooting and researching codes for errors, working closely with database administrators for performance optimization, consulting with engineering staff on software-machine interfaces, contributing to the development process with solution architects, maintaining and upgrading existing systems, researching new technologies for system solutions, writing and maintaining documentation, converting designs and specifications into computer code, designing and coding screen layouts and interfaces, running unit/integration/system tests for automated execution, conducting UAT, providing technical assistance, training end users or technical support staff, installing and testing upgrades of externally developed application components, troubleshooting and providing solutions for business critical incidents, and consulting with client Business System Specialists and internal stakeholders to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop business solutions in collaboration with stakeholders - Ensure products meet customer requirements and function properly - Conduct solution testing and QA - Collaborate with business stakeholders to select appropriate technology vendors - Troubleshoot and research codes for errors - Optimize database and application performance - Consult with engineering staff on software-machine interfaces - Maintain and upgrade existing systems - Research new technologies for system solutions - Write and maintain documentation - Convert designs and specifications into computer code - Design and code screen layouts and interfaces - Run unit/integration/system tests for automated execution - Provide technical assistance and training - Install and test upgrades of externally developed application components - Troubleshoot and provide solutions for business critical incidents - Consult with client Business System Specialists and internal stakeholders for program development Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent systems experience - 1-3 years of systems experience - Knowledge of application development, procedures, utilities, and job control languages preferred - Operations and technical skills - Understanding of functional standards and Flex policies and procedures - Awareness of functional impact on work processes and functions - Working knowledge of functional concepts - Understanding of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries, or functions - Project leadership skills - Experience with Software Control Repository tools (TFS, Git) - Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and SOLID principles Additional Details: Flex offers a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment where diversity and inclusion are valued.
