Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and manufacturing operations procedures including Production, Quality, Technical Development, Maintenance, Engineering and Expansion.
  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing unit covering the functions - Manufacturing, Product development, Quality, Stores, Finance, Operational Purchase, HR & IR.
  • Attain cost leadership position through overhead management, high yield generation and wastage management.
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance & growth.
  • Handling IR and Labor issues efficiently.
  • Oversee the management of FG inventory and distribution operations with a focus on optimizing efficiency, accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish quality objectives, metrics, and KPIs to measure and monitor performance across all areas of the organization, including production, supply chain, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, procurement, and customer support, to identify and resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive Manufacturing Excellence, Cost competitive Initiatives.
  • To strengthen safety policies and set a safety based working culture.
  • Organizational development through various training interventions and initiatives.
  • To deliver plant performance as per the set monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Participate in expansion activities (investments, corporate alliances, etc.)

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proven experience in operational or relevant role.
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR & IR, Finance, marketing etc.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Experience profile includes growth through technology-oriented companies through shop floor level stints, growing into decision making managerial positions in medium-to large size reputed companies.
  • Leadership level personality attributes such as communication and presentation; people orientation and management; and grasp of understanding manufacturing environment-related aspects
  • Ability to motivate people and bringing the best of every employee
  • Decision making & problem solving skills.
  • Domestic/International travel as need be.
  • Engineer (from a reputed college/institute).MBA will be preferred in the age group of 45 to 50 with about 20-25 years of experience
