As a Mortgage Underwriter at SitusAMC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of loan files. Your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing loan files to verify income & assets, credit reports, appraisals, and other relevant documentation. - Evaluating debt ratios, credit scores, property valuations, and other key factors. - Determining and documenting loan conditions, as well as communicating requirements and decisions. - Identifying saleability issues, potential fraud, and portfolio risks based on trends and red flags. - Maintaining knowledge of underwriting guidelines and utilizing AUS for loan conditions. - Completing any other tasks assigned by your manager. Qualifications/Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of recent US mortgage front-line underwriting experience. - Familiarity with current mortgage policies, compliance laws, and regulations, including TRID. - Strong commitment to quality and customer service. - Excellent time management and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong PC skills. - Understanding of mortgage guidelines for VA, FHA, FNMA, FHLMC, and USDA loans. - Experience with analyzing income from various tax documents, credit reports, and bank statements. - Knowledge of both AUS and manual underwriting methods. - Familiarity with third party loan-level Fraud Reports is preferred. - Experience with Non-QM loans and AUS loans is a plus. The annual full-time base salary range for this position is determined based on interviews, relevant experience, education, and market data.
