UI/UX Designer Intern

Position Overview

As a UI/UX Designer Intern, you will work directly with our product, design, and development teams to create beautiful, intuitive, and user-centered interfaces for our Flutter applications. You will be involved in the entire design process, from initial concepts and user research to creating high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes. Your work will directly influence the look, feel, and usability of our mobile apps on both iOS and Android.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is eager to apply their design knowledge to real-world projects and learn the specifics of designing for a cross-platform environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers in creating wireframes, user flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Develop high-fidelity mockups and prototypes in tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD that reflect our brand identity.
• Help build and maintain a component-based design system that can be translated into reusable Flutter widgets.
• Participate in user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to iterate on and improve designs.
• Collaborate closely with our Flutter developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and are technically feasible.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and present your design concepts to the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your design projects (academic, personal, or professional). This is the most important requirement.
• Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• A solid understanding of fundamental UI/UX principles, including user-centered design, typography, color theory, and layout.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions.
• A passion for mobile design and a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• A basic understanding of mobile design guidelines for both iOS (Human Interface Guidelines) and Android (Material Design).
• An interest in or some familiarity with the Flutter framework and its widget-based approach.
• Experience creating interactive prototypes.
• Familiarity with user research methodologies.
• Eagerness to learn, receive feedback, and grow as a designer.
