UI-UX Designer

UI-UX designers work towards creating a cohesive visual world for Republic across a range of digital touch-points such as websites, apps, social media platforms and television. • They are responsible for creating visual design solutions and applying the right aesthetics to aid functionality and usability across digital interfaces. • They conceptualize and chart out an approach that helps solve a problem or improves an existing experience for the user. Emphasis is laid on the approach, methodology and craft used to achieve the same. • UI-UX designers research, reference and constantly keep themselves up to date with popular culture and trends

Requirements: • 3+ years of work experience. • You possess strong graphic design skills and have a good understanding of visual composition, color and typography. You are also well-versed with branding and identity design. • You have worked on user interface and user experience design projects for websites and apps across platforms and devices. • You are well acquainted with all aspects of the experience design process – from research and data analysis to the nuances of information architecture to wireframes and prototypes to designing interactions and user interfaces. • You have experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and also understand when you need to apply specific tools and methods. • You have a thorough understanding of user journeys and user experience. You are also able to carry out extensive research at different stages of a project to get a better understanding of user needs, to solve problems and to improve upon existing experiences. • You possess great people observation skills and understand human behaviour patterns. You are able to understand user expectations, frustrations, goals, and reasoning processes – all integral to developing solutions for real user needs. • As a creative person, you bring a strong point of view to the table and also possess a willingness to learn new things. • You possess a keen eye for design and an exceptional eye for detail. • You constantly keep yourself up to date with popular culture, trends and techniques integral to your craft. • You are able to work in a fast-paced news-based environment with tight deadlines and quick turnaround times.
