Job Description

Job Summary

Unified Communications (UC) / VoIP Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
and related UC infrastructure.
Configure, integrate, and support
Microsoft Teams Voice
with direct routing, SBCs, and PSTN connectivity.
Manage and troubleshoot
SIP-based
call flows, including interoperability between platforms.
Implement and optimize
QoS policies
to ensure high-quality voice and video performance across networks.
Perform UC/VoIP system upgrades, patches, and capacity planning.
Collaborate with network, security, and systems teams for seamless UC service delivery.
Provide Tier-3 support for escalated UC issues and perform root cause analysis.
Maintain documentation for system configurations, policies, and procedures.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills:

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
Microsoft Teams Voice & Direct Routing
SIP Protocol and troubleshooting tools (SIP traces, logs, packet captures)
QoS for Voice/Video
SBC configuration (AudioCodes, Ribbon, Cisco CUBE, etc.)

Experience:

4+ years in UC/VoIP engineering or similar roles
Enterprise-level voice/video infrastructure deployment and support

Certifications (Preferred):

CCNP Collaboration / Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer Associate

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Additional Skills

Knowledge of
VoIP security best practices
Integration experience with contact center platforms (Cisco UCCX, UCCE)
Experience with cloud-based UC platforms
