UAV Electrical Technician

Yali Aerospace is looking for a skilled UAV Electrical Technician to support the wiring, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical and avionics systems in our drones. This is a practical, hands-on role focused on integration and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Wiring & Assembly

• Assemble wiring harnesses for UAVs as per diagrams and instructions.Install connectors, power cables, signal cables, and communication lines.
• Solder wires, terminals, and components with proper finishing and insulation.
• Ensure neat cable routing, strain relief, and secure mounting.

2. Avionics Installation

• Install flight controllers, GPS modules, telemetry radios, ESCs, sensors, and antennas.
• Assist in the integration of power distribution boards and battery connections.
• Perform basic setup steps such as sensor mounting, alignment checks, and connector verification.

3. Electrical Testing & Troubleshooting

• Use multimeters and basic tools to conduct continuity checks and identify wiring issues.
• Perform subsystem power tests and check for shorts or incorrect connections.
• Troubleshoot ESCs, connectors, loose wires, and faulty electronics under supervision.

4. Battery Handling & Power Safety

• Safely handle LiPo/Li-ion batteries used in UAVs.
• Follow proper charging, storage, and disposal procedures.
• Assist in monitoring power consumption during tests.

5. Documentation & Quality Compliance

• Maintain wiring logs, checklists, and test records.
• Follow internal quality control procedures during integration.
• Report defects, shortages, or unusual issues to supervisors promptly.

6. Workshop & Inventory Support

• Organize electrical tools, connectors, cables, and soldering stations.
• Track usage of electronic components and report stock requirements.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the electrical workstation.

7. Support for Ground Testing & Flight Preparation

• Assist engineers during bench testing and pre-flight electrical checks.
• Help prepare UAVs for field testing and ensure all electrical systems are secured.
• Provide wiring support during prototype builds and design updates.

Required Skills

• 1–3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, Wiring Technician, Robotics/Drone Technician, or similar role.
• Strong soldering skills and hands-on wiring experience.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and follow instructions accurately.
• Familiarity with multimeters and basic electrical test tools.

Preferred Qualifications

ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related fields.Experience in UAVs, RC aircraft, drones, robotics, or electronics assembly is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
