Turbine-O&M II Location- West Gujarat

Role & responsibilities

Operation:

• Monitor and operate steam/gas turbines and auxiliaries from local and control room.
  
• Ensure smooth turbine startups, load changes, synchronization, and shutdowns.
  
• Conduct condition monitoring (vibrations, temperatures, pressures, etc.).
  
• Coordinate with control room, boiler team, and electrical team for load management.
  
• Perform operational checks and maintain logs for turbine and critical parameters.
  

Maintenance:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of turbines and auxiliaries:
  
• Bearings, seals, lube oil system, governing system, turning gear, condenser, etc.
  
• Coordinate and supervise overhauling, turbine blade inspection, alignment, and balancing.
  
• Carry out thermal expansion and alignment checks.
  
• Troubleshoot issues related to efficiency drops, vibration, and abnormal performance.
  
• Assist OEMs and contractors during major maintenance activities.
  

Auxiliary Equipment Maintenance:

• Cooling water system, condensate extraction system, gland steam system.
  
• Lube oil pumps, oil coolers, vacuum pumps, and ejectors.
  

Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
  
• Conduct toolbox talks and job safety analysis.
  
• Ensure compliance with environmental norms during operation and maintenance.
  
• Participate in safety audits and inspections.
  

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain shift logbooks, checklists, and maintenance records.
  
• Prepare failure analysis and incident reports.
  
• Maintain records of turbine performance and efficiency parameters.
  
• Support the implementation of CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
  

Preferred candidate profile

Thorough knowledge of turbine fundamentals (steam/gas) and associated systems.

Hands-on experience with turbine overhauls and troubleshooting

Strong safety awareness and team coordination skills
