Develop and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements and organizational policies. Review, draft, and negotiate Annual Rate Contracts (ARC), Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), and service agreements, achieving cost savings through strategic initiatives. Collaborate closely with project managers and internal stakeholders to understand material and service needs for various engineering and erection activities. Prepare proposal approval notes and coordinate approvals in accordance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA). Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities: 1. Operation & Maintenance: Monitor and maintain electrical systems of the BTG, including generators, exciters, transformers, switchgear, and protection relays. Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions to ensure equipment reliability. Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime. 2. Generator & Excitation System Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of generators, excitation systems, and voltage regulators. Protection & Control Systems: Maintain and test protection relays (differential, overcurrent, earth fault, etc.) and control systems. Turbine & Boiler Electrical Systems: Maintain electrical drives, motors, and control systems for turbines, fans, pumps, and boiler auxiliaries. Role & responsibilities Operation: Monitor and operate fly ash and bottom ash handling systems (pneumatic and hydraulic systems). Ensure uninterrupted ash evacuation from boilers to ash silos or disposal areas. Coordinate with the Control Room and Boiler Operation team to optimize ash evacuation. Maintain records of ash generation, evacuation, and disposal. Operate and supervise ash water recirculation and slurry systems. Handle emergency situations such as pipeline choking, pump failure, etc. Maintenance: Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of ash handling equipment: Ash slurry pumps, hydro ejectors, crushers, ash silos, vacuum pumps, etc. Inspect and maintain valves, pipelines, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and instrumentation. Support commercial team in maintaining reorder levels and lead time analysis. 4. Compliance & Safety Adhere to safety procedures in material handling (PPE, stacking norms, etc.). Ensure compliance with ISO, OHSAS, and company audit norms. Manage hazardous and sensitive materials as per regulatory guidelines. Preferred candidate profile Sound knowledge of power plant spares, consumables, and engineering materials. Familiar with ERP systems like SAP-MM or similar platforms. Understanding of store layout planning, stock rotation, and inventory norms. Good communication, documentation, and coordination skills. Physically fit to handle industrial material environment (for on-ground roles).
