Treasury Accounts Payable Analyst:

Is responsible for handling payments, maintaining vendor information, and ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations and is vigilant of fraud activity.

Objectives of this Role

• Timely funding of activities
• Control of updates banking templates Data repository center for all banking data
• Assists Wire Requestors on daily tasks and escalate issues accordingly

Duties and responsibilities

• Processes, verifies, submits, and receives wire transfers in accordance with established company procedures
• Performs various security related functions, such as verifications and callback confirmations, to validate the authenticity of bank data.
• Works directly with internal partners to ensure proper documentation is being attached prior creation of wires request.
• Reconciles the transaction executed and performs due diligence in mitigating fraud activities.
• Investigates and researches suspicious or fraudulent claims in accordance with company policy and procedures
• Works closely with all other authorized parties affiliated with Wire Services to effectively execute the responsibilities of the position.
• Prepares cash positions daily, organize cash flow predictions
• Prepare files and assist in monthly bank reconciliations process
• Enter manual payments into bank software, ensuring all payments have the proper approval.
• Maintain accurate vendor information in treasury databases and bank software (e.g., repetitive payment details, bank accounts, update bank templates).
• Initiate funds transfers, ensuring adequate account balances and timely payments.
• Reconcile prior day actuals to requests, investigate variances, and resolve any payment failures.
• Manage returns, facilitate voids/stop payments, and address discrepancies effectively.
• Coordinate with internal/external customers and banks to resolve issues, answer inquiries, and provide necessary documentation.
• Process in-house checks (deposits) for payments received.
• Support various administrative tasks and contribute to process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Wire Transfers
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to perform job functions accurately and with attention to detail
• Strong collaboration, communication, presentation skills. Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Multi-task within a fast paced environment with shifting priorities. Provide a high level of customer service.
• Manage time efficiently and remain focused for extended periods of time.
  

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four (4) years of accounting support experience required.
• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-Year College or technical school; and one (1) year related experience and/or training.
• An equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training approved by Human Resources
