Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Design & Architecture:

  • Develop comprehensive transition solutions, covering governance, timelines, resources, knowledge transfer, risk management, and service continuity.
  • Tailor transition models based on client needs (e.g., AMS/AD, infrastructure).
  • Conduct a comprehensive application portfolio assessment: categorize applications to derive transition solution.

2. Bid Support & Proposal Development:

  • Support pre-sales and bid teams by contributing to RFPs, RFIs, and client presentations with transition-related inputs.
  • Define transition scope, effort estimation, timelines, team structures, and success criteria.

3. Client Engagement:

  • Interface with clients to understand current-state operations and design future-state transition approaches that are achievable, cost-effective, and compliant.
  • Participate in client workshops, due diligence, and solution defense.

4. Governance Model Definition:

  • Define a transition governance structure including steering committees, escalation paths, status reporting, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Identify SLAs/KPIs and ensure alignment with operational and contractual objectives.

5. Risk Management & Mitigation Planning:

  • Identify potential transition risks (knowledge gaps, change resistance, IP concerns, tool incompatibility) and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Develop a comprehensive transition risk register.

6. Resource & Financial Planning:

  • Estimate transition budgets, resource requirements (onshore/offshore), and schedule.
  • Define ramp-up strategies for teams during transition.

7. Knowledge Transfer & Operational Readiness Planning:

  • Design frameworks for effective knowledge capture, validation, and operational handover.
  • Ensure readiness assessments are embedded in the solution approach.

8. Reusable Frameworks & Best Practices:

  • Contribute to the creation and improvement of standardized transition playbooks, templates, and toolkits.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and incorporate them into solutions.

9. Collaboration with Delivery & Transformation Teams:

  • Work closely with delivery, transformation, IT, and service management teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and executable.
  • Ensure alignment between solution design and delivery execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in IT, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or Masters preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM), outsourcing models, and application/infrastructure landscapes.
  • Proven track record in designing and winning transition solutions in large deals.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like ITIL & PMP

  • Experience working in global delivery models (onshore/offshore).
  • Exposure to AMS/AD, managed services transitions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to aggressive timelines in bid environments.
