Job Title: Trainer – Carpenter

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Trainer – Carpenter to deliver hands-on training aligned with industry requirements and NSQF standards. The trainer will be responsible for teaching the theoretical and practical aspects of shuttering carpentry used in construction projects, ensuring trainees are job-ready upon course completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver training sessions as per NSQF-aligned Shuttering Carpenter curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, session plans, and practical demonstrations.
• Train students in carpentry tools, materials, shuttering techniques, and safety procedures.
• Conduct periodic assessments to track trainees' progress and identify gaps.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of carpentry tools and equipment.
• Maintain training records including attendance, performance, and assessment scores.
• Promote safety, discipline, and a learning-focused environment in the classroom and workshop.
• Provide individual support to trainees where needed.
• Prepare trainees for SSC (Sector Skill Council) assessments and certification.
• Coordinate with project teams for mobilization, assessments, and placement linkage.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Educational Qualification:
• Minimum 10th pass with ITI or Diploma in Carpentry or Civil-related trades.
• Higher technical qualifications will be an advantage.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience in shuttering carpentry or formwork operations.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in training or instructional roles is preferred.
• Certification:
• TOT (Training of Trainers) Certification from the Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI) preferred.
• If not certified, should be willing to undergo TOT.

Key Skills Required:

• Expertise in formwork systems (wooden, metal, and modular shuttering).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and formwork plans.
• Knowledge of tools, materials, and safety practices used in shuttering carpentry.
• Good communication skills and ability to train students with varied learning abilities.
• Basic computer skills for report writing and record maintenance.
