JD :

A Trainee Electrical Engineer in the solar panel industry works under the supervision of senior engineers to gain hands-on experience and technical knowledge related to solar energy systems, including installation, maintenance, and performance optimization of solar panels and associated electrical components.

• Support in installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
• Learn wiring, cabling, and panel mounting processes.
• Understand layout and schematics as per electrical drawings.
• Help in pre-commissioning checks of electrical connections and components.
• Assist in system testing (voltage, current, insulation, continuity).
• Monitor initial performance after setup.
• Learn to monitor energy output and diagnose performance issues.
• Support in regular inspection and preventive maintenance of systems.
• Maintain installation and test records.
• Prepare technical reports under supervision.
• Learn to document daily site activities and technical issues.
• Assist in load calculations, inverter selection, and panel sizing.
• Support CAD drawing updates and schematic layouts.
• Learn basic electrical design software/tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst).
• Follow standard safety protocols during installation and servicing.
• Learn grounding, surge protection, and safe handling of live equipment.
• Visit solar project sites for execution and learning.
• Assist in layout planning and shadow analysis on rooftops or land.
