Role Description

Tool Room Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the tool room, including maintenance, repair, and development of injection molds and dies.
• Manage a team of toolmakers, CNC/VMC operators, and fitters.
• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of molds with minimum downtime.
• Coordinate with the design and production teams for new mold development, trials, and modifications.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spares, and consumables required for the tool room.
• Implement and maintain 5S and safety standards within the tool room.
• Review mold performance and suggest improvements for quality and cycle time.
• Prepare schedules, allocate tasks, and monitor progress for timely project delivery.
• Troubleshoot mold issues and provide technical support to production.
