Main responsibilities: Design tools for cold heading and rolling operations Improvement of existing tool designs. Ensure that products manufactured meet all specifications while maximizing life of tooling Quote new parts (When needed) The ideal candidate will have extensive tool design experience and significant exposure to fastener manufacturing processes and equipment. Key Competencies: Plant Orientation and Responsiveness Drive for Results Team Player Excellent Communication and Informing Skills Timely Decision Making and Problem Solving Excellent Analytical Skills Process Orientation Negotiation Skills and Conflict Management Proficiency in the use of Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing. Minimum 5 years’ fastener tool design experience. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or material sciences preferred. Inspection, Metrology, Metallurgical Analysis Interpretation. Experience with progression design assessment software (currently Deform). Extensive experience with 2D design (currently Autodesk AutoCad). Extensive experience with 3D design (currently Autodesk Inventor). GD&T, Print Review, Understanding and interpretation of engineering specifications (IFI, ASME, etc). Fastener experience highly preferred. Ability to read a blueprint Ability to read technical specifications Familiar with cold heading tolerances Knowledge of manufacturing methods
