Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Create original textile designs and patterns for fabrics, garments, and accessories based on market trends and client needs. Develop mood boards, color palettes, and design concepts to guide the creative process. Work with fabric suppliers to select appropriate materials for designs. Modify and adapt designs based on customer feedback, market demand, and production limitations. Research and analyze current market trends, consumer preferences, and competition to anticipate demand and create designs that will appeal to the target audience. Plan and schedule the production of textile goods, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. Develop and maintain pricing strategies for textile products. Collaborate with sales teams to create product presentations and marketing materials. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure smooth production processes and timely delivery of textiles. Ensure that the final products meet quality standards and design specifications. Resolve production-related issues and ensure effective communication between all stakeholders. Oversee the quality control process during production to ensure the final product meets the required standards. Conduct inspections and resolve any quality or design issues that arise during production. Track project costs and manage budgets for design and production. Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices for raw materials and manufacturing services. Stay up-to-date with global textile trends, fashion movements, and technological advancements in fabric production. Advocate for the use of sustainable materials and ethical production practices. Ensure designs and sourcing align with sustainability and corporate social responsibility goals. Qualifications: A degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field. Additional courses in merchandising, marketing, or business management are advantageous. 2-5 years of experience in textile design, merchandising, or production management. Strong sense of creativity, with the ability to design textiles that are visually appealing and marketable. Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD software), as well as a solid understanding of textile production processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, suppliers, and teams. Strong attention to detail, especially with regard to design, color accuracy, and fabric quality. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and manufacturers Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Day shift Experience: Textile Merchandising: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
