Role Overview

Testing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Perform
electrical and mechanical safety tests
on appliances and other relevant BIS/IEC standards.
Operate and maintain advanced testing instruments, ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results.
Prepare detailed test reports with observations, compliance remarks, and recommendations.
Ensure laboratory practices meet
ISO/IEC 17025
requirements.
Assist in calibration and validation of instruments.
Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to resolve technical issues and improve testing methodologies.
Stay updated with latest amendments in
BIS / IS / IEC standards
related to electrical safety testing.

Instruments & Test Equipment Exposure (Preferred)

IS 302 series

High Voltage (HV) Testers
Insulation Resistance (IR) Testers
Leakage Current Test Apparatus
Temperature Rise Test Equipment
Withstand Voltage Testers
Cord Flexing / Flex Durability Test Machine
Impact Test Apparatus
Plug & Socket Endurance Test Setup
Withdrawal Force Test Apparatus
Mechanical Strength Test Fixtures

Candidate Profile

Education:
Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in
electrical appliance safety testing
or
mechanical testing
.
Prior work experience in a
testing laboratory (NABL/BIS accredited)
will be given strong preference.
Strong knowledge of
BIS/IEC testing procedures
.
Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
