Automation Test Engineer

About the Role

Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.
Identify test cases suitable for automation and improve existing test coverage.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and manual testers to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
Analyze test results, report defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
Maintain test environments and ensure test data integrity.
Continuously enhance automation frameworks for performance and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
25 years of experience in
automation testing
.
Proficiency with automation tools such as
Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or TestNG
.
Experience with scripting/programming languages (e.g.,
Java, Python, JavaScript, C#
).
Strong understanding of
QA methodologies
,
SDLC
, and
STLC
.
Experience with
API testing
(e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
Familiarity with
CI/CD tools
(e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Knowledge of
version control systems
(e.g., Git).
Understanding of defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with
BDD frameworks
(Cucumber, SpecFlow, Behave).
Exposure to
cloud-based testing platforms
(BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
Experience in
performance testing
(e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Familiarity with
containerization
(Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployment.
ISTQB or other QA certification
