Test Engineer - Insurance

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparation and execution of testing activities according to the defined standards and policies in the area of the text system (internal name: TXT) with all associated programs, configuration of the test environment with appropriate Tools and to run the test, raising of defects and working with developers and requirement engineers on their resolution, keeps the test manager informed on test progress, issues and risks.

Test Engineer required with Life or General Insurance knowledge and working experience in Insurance Projects. New products and business processes are implemented in various agile teams, within the framework of a service-oriented system architecture of the policy administration system and with interfaces to multi-layered mainframe applications.

Responsible for design, implementation, execution and evaluation of testing activities according to the defined standards and policies, and for capture / retest of defects. Collaboration within the agile team with other roles, jointly working on the solution. The Test engineer keeps the test manager informed on test progress, issues and risks.

• Preparation and execution of test cases within a sprint in compliance with the test and method standards
• Raising defects found during the testing and working with the team on their resolution
• Working with Requirements engineers development of acceptance criteria
• Support the creation of decision and reconciliation documents
• Support the defect management process in the project, including subsequent root cause analysis
• Support the tracking of Test KPI and metrics in accordance with TEM standards

Preferred candidate profile

• Manual and automation testing

• Excellent English Communication

• In-depth knowledge of Agile Practices (Scrum, Kanban or Lean methodologies)
• Detailed knowledge of the testing lifecycle as well as the different test types and their application
