Senior Functional Tester

The Senior Functional Tester will contribute to the QA and test automation process in product development. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for contributing to QA testing standards across the SDLC while building and maintaining robust automated test coverage for our web and API layers. Youll work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure our releases are stable, reliable, and delivered with confidence..

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Applies knowledge of quality assurance and testing areas to define quality and test strategy.
• Designs and develops tests automation scripts and programs that conduct automatic tests on new and existing software.
• Works closely with product developers, project managers, and technical leadership to develop and execute test plans and test cases across all functional areas of the product.
• Creates and maintains the project quality plan and project test plan.
• Executes tests and provides updates to the project team to meet quality objectives.
• Performs self-based training in the upcoming technology, quality approaches, and testing techniques.
• Manages and maintains excellent and professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and always provides excellent service and support.
• Effectively communicates and sets direction with clients.
• Champions in the implementation of new testing approaches or new technology.
• Prepares weekly and monthly regular reports of progress.
• Willing to take on new responsibilities as may be assigned by the management.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Strong working knowledge in manual testing using multiple testing tools and technical testing approaches.
• Solid all-around testing (manual and automation).
• Be sufficiently proficient in the following technologies and tools to perform the core duties of a Senior Functional Tester:
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, SQL, or Python/Robot Framework
• Serenity Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) Framework
• Selenium Web Driver
• Cucumber/Gherkin
• SOAPUI or Postman
• SQL
• Jira and Zephyr
• Agile
• Strong analytical skills to identify test plan automation possibilities.
• Ability to code and write scripts at the database level.
• Excellent professional communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), or equivalent experience.
• Solid years of experience in leading quality assurance projects, IT quality assurance, system testing tools, end-to-end testing, and application, system, and integration testing methodologies.
• Strong experience in Manual and Automation Testing, API Testing, Quality Testing, Test Engineering, and Performance Testing.
