Test Engineer II

Role Overview: You will work within a team to ensure that quality is integrated from the beginning to the realization of customer benefits and throughout the product life cycle. Your focus will be on delivering customer value with minimal waste, ensuring products are usable, accessible, secure, and performant. Key Responsibilities: - Embed automation testing in the development process, where applicable - Support CI/CD efforts, propose test automation tooling and infrastructure, and collaborate with developers to build and maintain it - Contribute to the tech strategy by providing valuable insights on test automation and software quality - Stay updated with new test automation technology and plan strategically for potential changes - Write automated tests that are resilient to changes in the application's UI when necessary - Act as the go-to person for the test automation topic for both business and tech stakeholders - Collaborate with development teams to understand business needs and identify quality requirements - View possible outages as critical learning opportunities to improve - Conduct extensive trainings and workshops on testing culture and best practices to inspire developers, designers, and product owners to prioritize quality - Plan and prioritize different strategies according to business needs - Evaluate internal testing tools and introduce new ones to enhance ROI Qualifications Required: - At least 5+ years of experience in a high technological environment in a similar role - Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, Perl, Java, Javascript, Objective-C, C, C++, or C# - Expertise in unit or automation test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, Selenium, Nightwatch, Postman, JMeter, TestComplete, etc. - Experience in developing fully automated CI/CD pipelines, working with CI & source control tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Gitlab, Octopus, TFS, or others - Ability to select the appropriate test framework based on project needs while considering trade-offs - Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures - Passion for Continuous Improvement, Innovation, and new technologies - Clear comprehension of various software testing methodologies including unit, integration, smoke, performance, stress, load, regression, acceptance, usability, security, etc. - Knowledge of SOA/Microservices and web architecture, with experience in distributed systems - Good communication and stakeholder management skills - Experience in mentoring and training other developers on software quality topics - Strong work ethic,
