As a Commercial Cost Estimator at Danieli Group, you will play a crucial role in analyzing commercial offers and proposing technical alternatives to optimize costs. Your responsibilities will include: - Analyzing the adequacy and completeness of commercial offers for evaluation. - Proposing technical alternatives within the scope of received offers to optimize total cost. - Estimating indexes to recalculate costs based on varying job execution conditions. - Understanding metallurgical processes and their impact on purchasing costs of semi-finished products. - Recognizing material components of machinery from drawings. - Familiarity with taxation applied by different countries on materials and machines for cost comparison. - Quickly processing database data to evaluate best cost for different types of E cost. - Proposing solutions to optimize machine mix, production allocations, and make-buy decisions for commercial functions. - Extrapolating purchasing costs for new machines. In terms of qualifications, we are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: - BE/B TECH in Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum of 10 years of exposure to the Steel Industry in areas such as Project Management, Purchase, QA&QC, Tendering & Estimation, Production, and Equipment Manufacturing. - 10-16 years of overall experience. In addition to technical requirements, soft skills are equally important for this role.
