Job Description

Role & responsibilities Lead a team of Sales Officers and ensure both individual and team targets are achieved. Drive sales performance through effective planning, execution, and monitoring of field activities. Set clear monthly and quarterly targets for the team and provide necessary support to achieve them. Actively participate in field sales and lead by example in converting prospects to customers. Ensure strong product availability, visibility, and market penetration in the assigned region. Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and end customers. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and market visits. Train and guide team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and territory coverage. Track competitor activities and share market intelligence with management. Submit daily and weekly sales reports and updates to management. Preferred candidate profile Minimum 5 years of experience in field sales, preferably in paints, FMCG, building materials , or consumer durables . Proven team-handling experience and leadership skills . Strong communication, negotiation , and interpersonal abilities . Knowledge of the Ambattur/North Chennai market is highly desirable. A two-wheeler with a valid driving license is mandatory.
