Tele Counselor - Study Abroad

About the Role:

In this exciting role, you'll be the first point of contact for students interested in pursuing their education abroad. You'll use your communication skills and knowledge of international study programs to guide and support them throughout their decision-making journey.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct phone consultations with prospective students to understand their academic backgrounds, interests, and goals for studying abroad.
• Research and provide comprehensive information on various study abroad programs, universities, and destinations that align with each student's profile.
• Answer questions about application processes, admissions requirements, scholarships, student visas, and other aspects of studying abroad.
• Build rapport and trust with students, acting as a trusted advisor and source of encouragement.
• Schedule appointments with senior counselors or admissions representatives for qualified students.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.
• Contribute to achieving team targets for student enrollment or program applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Education, International Relations, or similar) preferred.
• Strong understanding of international education programs and trends.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Ability to build rapport and connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
• Proficient in computer applications like CRM software and student information systems (a plus).
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
