Technology Manager

Role Overview: At Indus Action, we are looking for a full-time engineer to join our engineering team. As part of the team, you will be responsible for developing the next-gen platform of Indus Action. We seek individuals who are passionate about building innovative products using cutting-edge technologies to create value for citizens on a national scale. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the product development roadmap and addressing complex challenges in the product development domain. The engineering team at Indus Action is agile and small, offering opportunities to work on multiple products and technologies while focusing on specific areas over time. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the CivicTech/GovTech landscape and support Indus Action's mission of providing sustainable access to legislated rights for vulnerable families. Key Responsibilities: - Develop Indus Action's next-generation platform - Convert the product roadmap into reality - Tackle complex challenges in product development - Work on multiple products and technologies within a small, agile team - Contribute to the CivicTech/GovTech landscape - Provide innovative solutions for enabling sustainable access to legislated rights - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Qualifications Required: - Minimum Graduation Degree in B.E./B.Tech/BCA - Background in Drupal required - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Drupal development - Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL - Strong understanding of Drupal architecture, including custom module development and theming - Experience with Drupal 8/9/10 and knowledge of the Drupal API - Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services integration - Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing MySQL databases - Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers - Experience with database optimization, indexing, and performance tuning - Knowledge of Git, GitHub, Python, React.js, AWS, and DevOps practices is an added advantage - Strong project management skills with experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies - Excellent documentation, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills - Ability to mentor and guide team members - Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities Additional Details: At Indus Action, we foster a citizen-focused mindset, entrepreneurial energy, ability to deal with ambiguity, growth mindset, and collaboration. The compensation for the Technology Manager role will be based on the organization's benchmarking rubric, depending on qualifications, experience, and role fitment.
