Job Description - Mechanical Technician

The Mechanical Technician will play a crucial role in the assembly, integration, and testing of aerospace components and systems. This position requires good exposure & experience in mechanical systems & attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of hands-on experience with the assembly and integration of aerospace systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, integrate, and test aerospace components and systems according to engineering specifications and standards.
Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate assembly and integration of parts.
Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair on aerospace systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Perform mechanical operations such as drilling, cutting, grinding, riveting and sheet metal work.
Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on design and assembly processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Utilize precision tools and equipment to measure, align, and assemble mechanical components with high accuracy.
Conduct functional tests and inspections to ensure systems meet performance and safety requirements.
Document assembly procedures, test results, and any deviations from standard practices, maintaining accurate records.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI Fitter or equivalent.
Proven experience in aerospace assembly and integration, with a good exposure to aerospace mechanical systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
Hands-on experience with precision tools, measurement equipment, and mechanical assembly techniques.
Hands-on experience with machinery such as drilling machine, cutting machine, grinding machine, rivet gun, etc
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance practices.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and accuracy.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move components (up to 20 kg) and work in various physical conditions.
Capability to work in confined spaces and at heights if required.
