Technical Support Executive (Software Support – Retail & F&B Solutions)

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu (On-site)
Experience: 1–3 years (Freshers with strong technical aptitude may also apply)
Compensation: Based on skills and experience

About Us

Uth Software is a fast-growing technology company in Chennai, building POS, ERP, and AI-powered software for industries like retail, food & beverage, restaurants, cafés, bakeries, salons, laundries, and gyms.

We are looking for Technical Support Executives who will play a key role in supporting our clients, ensuring smooth operations of our software products, and acting as the first point of contact for technical assistance.

Role Overview

As a Technical Support Executive, you will provide software support, troubleshooting, and training to customers in the Retail and F&B business verticals. You will help resolve issues related to billing, inventory, POS, ERP modules, and ensure our clients get the best out of our solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level software support to clients (onsite and remote).
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to POS, ERP, and billing systems.
  • Guide customers in day-to-day operations (retail billing, restaurant orders, inventory, accounts, etc.).
  • Assist in software installation, configuration, and updates.
  • Train end-users on system features and workflows.
  • Coordinate with development teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain support documentation, FAQs, and training materials.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and effective support.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of software applications, databases, and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of retail or restaurant business operations (billing, orders, stock, reports) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills in English and Tamil (Hindi is an advantage).
  • Ability to handle clients patiently and professionally.
  • Willingness to travel within Tamil Nadu for onsite support (if required).

Good to Have

  • Prior experience in software support / technical support.
  • Exposure to POS, ERP, or billing systems.
  • SQL basics (running queries, checking data).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based applications and remote support tools.
