About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Desk Consultant with 2 years of experience in IT support and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing technical assistance to end-users, ensuring seamless operation of IT systems, and maintaining secure and efficient communication channels. This role requires a proactive individual with a solid understanding of secure file transfer protocols, cryptography, and networking fundamentals. The Service Desk Consultant will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues across various environments including development, testing, UAT, and production. Additionally, the candidate will support data center operations, assist in migration strategies, and contribute to maintaining high standards of security and compliance within the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support roles, preferably within banking or financial services sectors. A strong understanding of operating systems such as Windows and Linux, along with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, is essential. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in secure file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP), secure communication technologies (SSH, SSL), and foundational networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. Knowledge of cryptography, firewall configurations, and application testing methodologies is required. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are mandatory, along with prior experience working with international clients. A background in banking projects, especially related to KYC and AML domains, will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users across various environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Manage and configure secure file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP) and secure communication channels (SSH, SSL) to facilitate safe data exchange.
- Maintain and update cryptography protocols, firewall configurations, and security policies to safeguard organizational data and infrastructure.
- Assist in application testing across development, testing, UAT, and production environments, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Support data center operations, including understanding different data center types and migration strategies to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues, document solutions, and improve support processes.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize system configurations to enhance security and efficiency.
- Stay updated with emerging security threats, industry best practices, and compliance requirements relevant to banking and financial services.
