JOB SUMMARY:

Corteva Agriscience™ is seeking a Technical Specialist in Toxicology within global regulatory sciences group. The successful candidate will work with a global team to support registration for agrochemicals and support the wider Regulatory Sciences function as required. In this role, candidate will be part of a growing and multidisciplinary team that is responsible for safety evaluation of new and existing crop protection products. This role is located at Corteva corporate office in Hyderabad, India.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To perform technical review of toxicology studies/databases and prepare summaries supporting global regulatory science projects like, IUCLID, REACH, EU Renewals and computational toxicology
• Support the toxicology testing and regulatory functions by responding to general and specific information requests using various information science tools and techniques
• Conduct basic hazard evaluations and health risk assessments to support global toxicologists
• To perform literature technical searches in toxicology, environmental, and biological sciences to support product safety reviews and registration of Corteva products worldwide
• Organized and set priorities while managing time and multiple assignments
• Function as a team player in all assignments

QUALIFICATIONS

• MSc or MPharm degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Toxicology, Medicine, Medicinal chemistry or Health related field with 6-8 year experience in toxicology related area
• Familiar with preclinical toxicology or experience in conducting in-vivo and/or in-vitro toxicity studies under GLP environment is an advantage
• Knowledge or experience with Regulatory Toxicology, Aquatic toxicity, and/or Environment chemistry is beneficial
• Demonstrated working knowledge of toxicology, biology, biochemistry, medicine or other health-related scientific field
• Familiarity with toxicology terminology, acronyms, and the concepts of routes of exposure, clinical signs, target organs affected, lethal doses, and exposure limits is very helpful
• Experience in searching for scientific data, information and Database management skills desirable
• Effective oral and written communications skills
