Role Overview:

As an AWS Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud architectures on AWS. You will work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure that all AWS environments meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure AWS cloud architectures and infrastructure.
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing of AWS environments.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), including roles, policies, and multi-factor authentication.
• Monitor AWS environments using tools like AWS CloudTrail, Guard Duty, Security Hub, and Config.
• Respond to security incidents, perform forensic investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Automate security controls and compliance checks using tools like AWS Config Rules, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into CICD pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.

Required Skills:

• 5-8 years of experience in cloud security, with at least 4 years focused on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, and WAF.
• Experience with security frameworks and risk management methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools like Terraform, Jenkins, and AWS CodePipeline.
• Hands-on experience with incident response and vulnerability management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Security Specialty or equivalent certification.
• Experience with container security (EKS, Docker) and serverless security (Lambda).
• Exposure to SIEM tools like Splunk or AWS-native solutions.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and secure API design.
