Job Description

As a Technical Sales Manager at SDT Ultrasound Solutions India, your role will be pivotal in leading the expansion efforts in Southern India. Your expertise in condition monitoring or reliability will directly contribute to solving real industrial challenges. Here's what you will be responsible for: - Drive Sales: Take ownership of sales growth in Southern India by generating leads, acquiring customers, and developing accounts. - Customer Engagement: Interact with maintenance managers, reliability engineers, and plant heads to grasp their requirements and propose effective solutions. - Technical Selling: Utilize your knowledge in reliability and CBM technologies to effectively position ultrasound and vibration tools. - Strategic Planning: Create territory plans, and ensure meeting quarterly/annual revenue targets. - Insight & Intelligence: Keep track of industry trends, competitor strategies, and client feedback to guide future initiatives. - Pipeline & CRM: Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline data through CRM systems like Salesforce. - Solution Delivery: Conduct product demonstrations, site visits, and training sessions as necessary. Qualifications required for this role include a degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. An MBA is considered a plus. Additionally, you should have 5-10 years of experience in technical sales or business development within sectors like Manufacturing, Power, Pharma, T&D, Metals, etc. Hands-on experience in Reliability or Condition Monitoring is mandatory. Preferred certifications include CAT II Vibration Analyst (Mobius or equivalent) and Level 1 Ultrasound Analyst (SDT or equivalent). Key skills that will be beneficial for this role are the ability to translate technical insights into commercial value, excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, proficiency in CRM, and strong follow-up discipline. Desired personality traits include being a self-starter, competitive, sales-driven, and willing to travel extensively across Southern India.
